Osiligilai Maasai Lodge

Booking & Cancellation Policy


Osiligilai Maasai Lodge will accept bookings by email or Tour Operator Booking Voucher emailed to our Booking office.

All bookings must clearly include the following information:

  • Number of Adults/Children (With ages for children).
  • Room type: Single/ double/ triple/quadruple/quintuple or more
  • Meal plan: BB / HB / FB/ lunch box.
  • Check in/check out time: 12AM-12PM/6AM-10AM (Flexible upon request)
  • Number of driver / guides accompanying the group and expecting meals & accommodation at the lodge
  • Rooming list in case of large groups.
  • Dietary information.

To confirm a booking more than 30 days in advance a deposit of 50% is required. Final payment is needed at 30 days.
For bookings made within 20 days of arrival, 100% payment should be made immediately – no provisional bookings can be made within 20 days.

  • Payments: All payments must be settled in US Dollars or Tanzania Shilling equivalent by company cheque, telegraphic transfer, or cash.
  • Company cheques cannot be accepted without an authorized voucher or prior clearance.
  • Cheques should be made payable to OSILIGILAI MAASAI LODGE
  • All Bank charges for Telegraphic Transfers and Credit Card charges should be covered in the payment.
  • All bounced cheques will be returned and rooms may be allocated to new bookings, or will be liable to a 10% unpaid cheque surcharge.
  • Late payment could result in the loss of allocated rooms.

Provisional (block / allotment) bookings: Provisional advance bookings can be made by prior agreement with management. 100% payment is due 30 days in advance of dates. If we get other bookings for the same dates we reserve the right to request payment the for blocked space, and to re-allocate tents if no payment is received.

Amendments can only be made by email or booking voucher. No amendments are accepted by phone. Down amendments within 30 days of arrival are considered to be a cancellation of those rooms and our cancellation policy applies.


  • Cancellation of a booking more than 90 days before arrival will get a credit note for the full amount paid.
  • A cancellation between 30 and 10 days before arrival will be credited with a note for 50% of the full payment.
  • No credit note will be issued in case of any cancellation of rooms within 10 days of arrival. The same applies to no-show / non-arrival, or last minute down amendments for whatever reason.

Credit Notes: All credit notes must be redeemed within 6 months of issue.

Terms & Conditions

Management Reserves the right to:

  • Remove bookings from our charts due to late / non-payments, outstanding debts, or lack of communication from the Tour Operator
  • Amend rates and policy with a 60 day notice period.
  • Remove / refuse to serve guests, guides, or drivers for unacceptable behavior.

Osiligilai Maasai Lodge cannot take responsibility for guest’s medical problems and are not responsible for medical evacuation of guests in an emergency. It is assumed that the Tour Operator / Agent making the booking has implemented proper procedures for the medical care of their guests – including evacuation - in an emergency.

Osiligilai Maasai Lodge makes every effort to ensure the safety of guests, but cannot accept any responsibility for accidents or incidents of any nature involving guests, staff, vehicles, or wildlife while staying at Osiligilai Maasai Lodge

Any disputes about reservations, payments or complaints about quality of service should be made in writing within 7 days of the event or will be deemed to have not occurred, with no compromise made to outstanding monies.
